My dad is addicted to buying those products.

He bought the Set It and Forget It machine, a set of Miracle Blades, this set of kitchen utensils among others.

So, what have you bought?

Last night I saw the one for the Air-vacuum wrapping machine that seals food products so they can stay fresh.
It looked like it worked but who knows.

16. I have the EGGSTRACTOR too!
It fascinates me to use it. Every time I put that egg on the holder to squash it I tell myself this can't work and I'm going to have to clean up egg everywhere. The bam! The egg pops out, sometimes with a little shell still on it, sometimes the egg is clean as a whistle. I love it.

26. The one thing I find annoying about the infomercial
is the making of the muffins. They liquefy that muffin batter! Every time, I want to yell at the TV that overmixed muffin batter makes tough, tunnelly muffins!

I can see it being great for smoothies, though.

You hold it in the middle and the blades extend to either side. Then, you move your arms back and forth and the blades start moving also thus providing resistance. My husband likes it.

29. Did anyone ever see the infomercials for LaPresse?
It was a big, clunky, bulky food prep chopper/dicer/slicer/masher thingie - it had a million different blades you had to put in and take out, and it looked like it took up a lot of counter space, and was too tall to fit in or under most cabinets.

Anyway, the infomercials stopped airing quite a while back. Recently, I saw the new version of the "Flavorwave Oven" infomercials, and they are GIVING AWAY the LaPresse with every purchase of a Flavorwave. And if you don't like the Flavorwave you can send it back, "But please, keep the LaPresse as our gift to you." In other words, "This product tanked, warehousing fees are costing us a fortune, PLEASE keep the damn thing! You can just have it! Just get it off our hands!"

36. He finally wised up on that--new models have removable grill plates
I had the SAME complaint about George Foreman grills, and gave mine away after I found one by Hamilton Beach that has removable grill plates. I use it WAY more than I did the old one, and the plates pop right off and go in the dishwasher. EASY.

I saw a month or two ago that his new model has removable grill plates--took him long enough to figure that one out!

The Safety Can got pulled, so we bought 12 at the "As Seen on TV" store. They are pretty cheap and only last two-three years or so. That should get us through children and into retirement when cans have been replaced with replicators.

They're just shimmery enough without going overboard.

I liked it right from the start. Someone else had already told me that the key was to use a very light hand in the application; otherwise I probably would have used too much.

Once I got the Kabuki brush, I liked it even better! I still use Clinique mascara and MAC lipstick, but everything else is Bare Minerals.

I have a fitness routine I like that works for me, so I'm not looking for anything new. Once in a while I'll spot a fitness infomercial that looks interesting, but not usually.

I like cooking/cookware/gadget type infomercials. I also admit I like to poke fun at them while enjoying them; sort of a guilty pleasure.

43. At least two mineral makeups advertise by infomercial.
Bare Minerals is one. It's the makeup I use, and I love it.

Sheer Cover also advertises by infomercial.

http://www.sheercover.com/

Also advertising via infomercial is the Alexis Vogel system, for those who want to look like Pamela Anderson or a porn actress:

68. My husband, who is totally anti-informercial, wants that!
It does look like a great product. There are still TWO products that I swear I will have someday:

The Tilia Foodsavr thingie

The Showtime Rotisserie

So far, he's kept me from buying them by giving me superior and disapproving looks whenever I pause on either of those infomercials...but he can't stop me forever!! BWAHAHAHA!

The foodsaver thing looks really cool. Just watched that one again last night!

50. Revo Styler
It's a spinning brush for the hair. It works really well. I even use it.

77. A handmade wok.
It was shown on infomercials for quite some time but I didn't buy one until I saw it demonstrated at a fair. That thing is really well made and durable.
