I survived the Ice Storm!
I have been without power (and that means without DU) for 2 1/2 days! I am thankful that my refrigerator is a good one. I only had to throw out leftovers, some fish and some ice cream.

I have definitely felt withdrawal symptoms from not being able to check out what has been happening here on DU. Glad to be back!

I live in north-central Indiana. Anybody else weather the storm?

1. It wasn't too bad here in Indy ...
... at least on the north side. South sider's are floating, from what I can tell. :(

Glad you're ok !!

2. Thanks!
There are plenty of people floating around here, too, but without power! I don't know how they are getting along. People in Muncie are not supposed to get power back for another 5 days or more! Yikes!

3. Cold and boring here
Southern Kansas terrible ice storm. We now have power back on as of today but no cable for the modem are teevee. Boring! I cranked up the laptop over the phone line and check in on the world and DU. A lot of people here are still without power since Monday night. Having experienced it I have sympathy for them. Hope they are connected soon.

4. Keep warm!
Yes, I have to say the boring quotient went up enough that I went to a school board meeting last night!

6. I don't know about anyone else, but I think this winter is gonna be
plagued with extreme results, like icing and flooding at the same time, snowing and thunder (read that in another thread), and all sorts of icky things. Does El Nino have anything to do with this?
