With two sons under age 4, I go through the stuff regularly. I have pale carpets, and so far there isn't a stain it hasn't pulled up. If you catch them before they set, you're good to go.

The vapors are kind of hard on liver and brain.

http://www.howtocleananything.com/frame_cleaningtips_Houseinterior.htmYou might want to call a professional. is it near the edge of the carpet( do you have easy access to the underside of the carpet)? Do you have a wet vac?

5. I had this very thing happen to me..so here's what I found |
|
if there is any solid parts try and lift them up without rubbing anything into the carpet. Any remain parts that are runny if you can try and use a firm piece of cardboard or something thin and firm to try and gently work them onto the cardboard. With the remaining, the best thing I have ever found, is those "Oxy Clean" type products. They come in jugs of crystals and you use 1/8 of a scoop mixed with roughly 2 cups boiling water(I use boiling b/c I just psychologically find that hotter cleans best. If you have a portable or regular suction based cleaning machine you put the mixture in an old water bottle and then poor some on the remaining spot, leave it for a few seconds and suck it up and just keep repeating till it's gone. If you don't have any kind of machine, not to worry, just pour little bits of the mixture on the spot and after a few seconds blot it up with an old towel or paper towels and just keep repeating till it's gone. NEVER, and I can't stress this enough, rub the spot or area...always blot. BTW if you don't want to get the oxy-clean crystals they now make ready made Oxy-clean in a spray bottle and it works wonderfully ...same procedure as above except no mixing and your spraying and blotting or sucking ...hope you catch my convoluted drift.

I would use a wet vac on the top side(after cleaning up what you can). then spray oxyclean on the underside while the wet vac sucks it all up from the top side. That way you won't spread it around and won't drive it deeeper into the carpet.

13. I have three cats. Mine are all great with the litter box |
|
and never have accidents. I used to have a cat with sensitive stomach and very long fur. She could cough up a hairball in no time. She ate lots of dry food with the orange dye in it. I ended up buying a "little green clean machine" (small vacuum cleaner that could handle wet messes. That and some oxyclean can handle anything the cats dish out.

with those flippin hair balls and the dry food is dark orange just like you said. My 3 yr old dog has a very sensitive GI tract and I'm forever going through little bouts of her episodes and a green machine and the oxy-clean have been a god send...untill then I thought I would go bald with the stress! Boy do I identify with you!:-)

that I live in. They are for places where you don't wear shoes in the house. My sister bought Berbers and she had five cats. Needless to say those beautiful carpets were sent out with the trash within a year.

15. Something that worked for me |
|
was Shout. I wore rubber gloves and would work the shout down into the berber carpet (a brush didn't take it down far enough) and then use my carpet cleaner to flush it with clear water. It took a few times of flushing with clear water and extracting it..and occasionally a double treatment, but I never had a stain remain.
The last year of my dearly departed doggies life, I cleaned more of that than I care to remember.

|
I don't have a berber carpet, we have a gross miniature-golf green carpet that is thick and dense (would be nice if it were a decent color), and my cats barf alot.
I let it dry, then vacuum it up and scrape at it until I've gotten as much as possible. Then I spray it with Simple Green, let it sit a little bit, rub it a bit with a wire brush, then suck it up with a mini-carpet shampoo gadget, or sometimes just with my super sucky (good sucky I mean) vacuum cleaner, if I'm gonna b e throwing out the vacuum bag soon. Works real well.

Hydrogen peroxide works best for me. I've had berber carpet and you can't scrub it. If you mix equal parts of Hydrogen peroxide and water and saturate the stain. Let it dry by itself, it's slow acting. It might take a second application, but the stain will eventually go away. You don'thave to wait till it dries, just get up what you can and pour the mixture on. You might want to try a test patch in the closet first. HP works on any stain that is biological, like blood, barf, and what you are faced with. Spot Shot didn't work for me. If there is any smell left after the stain is gone, use vinegar on that (a little goes a long way, or mix it with water).
