Sacramento Ranks Seventh on List of Fittest Cities

Sacramento has moved up to seventh fittest city on an annual list of fit and fat cities compiled by Men's Fitness magazine.

Last year the state capital ranked 10th on the unscientific survey that tabulates 14 factors in making the lists. Those factors include the number of fast food restaurants and parks per capita, commute time, and even the amount of television-watching in 50 cities.

The fittest city was Seattle, followed by Honolulu, Colorado Springs, San Francisco and Denver. Rounding out the top ten were Portland, Sacramento, Tucson, San Diego and Albuquerque.

Houston was judged the fattest city. It's held that dubious honor three of the last four years. Philadelphia and Detroit were right behind Houston.

The report has encouraged some cities to initiate fitness programs for its residents.

Men's Fitness has conducted the survey for seven years.:bounce:

still they overlook to said sacramento is getting RED!!!
