NEED ADVICE on University Application - financial info... |
|
My son is applying to do post graduate work at the American University in Cairo. They've emailed him indicating that he needs to provide a "statement of financial resources to support studies." Has anyone had to do this (or does anyone work in an admissions office)? Do they want a personal statement that he writes that indicates how much money he has set aside for tuition, etc., or do they expect actual copies of statements from his accounts?
I know Saturday morning is not going to be the most likely time to get a reply here, but it's worth a shot. We want to get this in this morning's mail.
THANKS!

1. No, it isn't a bank statement. |

They are asking him to demonstrate that he has ample financial resources to fund his work. That's all. He needs to send a letter with information on how he will pay for his needs while there. That's all.

an expanded version of "I have $XX,XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,Xxx.00 in my investment account which is dedicated to my educational expenses. If further financial needs develop, my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dissenter, will provide the necessary financial support." or something like that? (man, I wish there were that many digits in his accounts!!!)
THANK YOU!!! :yourock:
