I Love This Movie: PCU
I think Comedy Central plays it from time to time and it gets all cut up, but lately it's been on HBO. This movie is so freaking hilarious and pokes fun of everyone from the progressive to the neo-cons (although the Neo-cons were the baddies in the movie. The progressives just wanted to have fun).

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0110759/combined

For those of you who haven't seen PCU it's the story about a HS Senior who visits a college called Port Chester University for a weekend. His tour guide for the weekend is the leader of the really cool group and the star of the movie (who pretty much loses the guy).

But the hilarious part is about the students of the school. The president is trying to make the school the most political correct school out there and yet she's in cahoots with the the leader of the College Republicans (lead by David Spade - he was great for the role).

The funniest scene is with Gutter (Played by Jon Farveau). Gutter was suppose to get the beer for the big party but instead took too many bong hits and passed out with this crazy dream. In his fantasy dream he's in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee (completed with Hatch, Kennedy, Biden and Spector) trying to explain that he didn't "exhale" (the guys from Jerrytown showed up in his dream contridicted that story).

But this is just such a fun freaking movie and eventually the College Republicans are made out to be the evil people that we all know they are!

Anyone else a fan of PCU?

2. It's my generation's Animal House
And honestly, I like it much more. Piven is a comic genius, and he needs to be in more stuff.

4. I love the Caine-Hackman Senior Thesis
Tom: What's he doin?
Droz: He's finishing his senior thesis. Pigman is trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV.
Tom: That's his thesis?
Droz: Yes! That's the beauty of college these days, Tommy!

Geez, I had to look and see what movie it was that they both starred in - it was "A Bridge To Far"

after I was done posting here:

Behind Enemy Lines with none other than Gene Hackman.

It's true - you can find Hackman or Caine playing on TV anytime day or night
