Joe ThEEseman might just eclipse Madden as the WORST NFL commentator |
|
A few weeks ago Theisman (pronouncement depends on decade and his role in the Heisman race) was telling everyone how Jake Plummer was in the top 3 QB's in the league a Montana-Marino-Theisman hybrid when................he throws an interception.
TONIGHT
Joe tells that a St.Louis hit on Hasselbeck had to be a roughing call.......in the second quarter a St.L linebacker makes the stupid mistake of standing around a pile (on a fumble as a PLUS) and he gets leveled by the Seattle center "These officials are doing a great job of controlling this game"
Second half
Bolger (Matt Lauer with a Kid 'n' Play haircut) calls their third timeout and Joe tells us "See this is what can happen when you have 200 passing plays in your offense"....two plays later Holt goes over the middle and Joe tells us "That is what you can do in this offense"
Luckily we get a double dip with BOOM Madden in the second game.
Meanwhile we get the ssssssssshhhhhhh racist comments of Paul McGuire (John Lynch is GOD -sentiment I heard on Rush's show Friday) and Deion is uppity.

I have to say that ThEEseman is the worst. Is he actually watching the game?

3. He's right. The Broncos are god's team, and will own the universe |
|
even if they don't prevail tomorrow.
John Lynch isn't god, he's next to god, because he is a Bronco.

11. Whatever. Black, white or plaid, all Broncos are saints. Chosen Ones |
|
There can be no dispute.
It's OK to be dirty when one is playing for god. To play dirty for god is to play clean.

13. Fuck the Coors family. They aren't Broncos |
|
And, for that alone, they'll burn in hell. Not to mention their contributions to eugenics loonies and such.
Of course, they have nothing to do with the Broncos, but I'm sure the almighty will make an exception in their case.

I'll have to admit that I rather like Madden. In much the same way that I like the rubber-faced man at the freak show.

17. Theisman is famously bad |
|
No one has any idea how he keeps that job.
Madden I like. I watched the Jets/Chargers game tonight mostly to catch glimpses of him.
Why, you ask. Because I think he's morphing into Jabba the Madden. I wanna see him yank a scantily clad Carrie Fisher along on a chain, then get choked by her. I suspect he might leave an ooze trail. He already has the hovercraft aka Bus thing down. I'd love to see his technique at tackling a Big Mac- it might look like one of those squirmy snack critter-things plopping into JtH's mouth in one of the throneroom scenes.
Actually, I think he's an amazingly bright guy. But the act of dumbing it down as far as he does on camera is spectacular and difficult to achieve. All of his kids go/went to Ivy League colleges- Brown mostly, iirc, which actually selects for mentally alive, decent, and humane people for the most part.
