Is anyone with Khephra's mom right now? |
|
I hate to think of her being alone. Does anyone know? A friend or neighbor, I hope?

3. Can you imagine what she went through? |
|
Finding your son dead at the keyboard...walking in on him? Oh god I can't even imagine....
To outlive your children I would never wish on anyone...

We all expect to bury our parents, but burying your child is just the worst, I think. It just isn't natural. Not at all. ;( :( ;(

If I had to buy my kid - that would utterly devastate me.
Just thinking about what his mom had to go through makes my insides churn...

9. I once worked for an attorney whose 24-year-old son committed suicide. |

My poor employer was so devsatated, I can't find the words to adequately describe what I witnessed during that awful time and for him and his family.
No, outliving one's child is *not* an experience I'd wish even on somebody I hated! :scared:

My only brother died on his thirty-seventh birthday of a massive heart attack driving alone in his car. Thankfully his car went off road and not into traffic. My mom never fully recovered after his death. I knew I wouldn't have her for long and I didn't. Yes, my heart goes out to his mom, she will have a very heavy cross to bear. Bless her and all those who loved him. I wonder if he knew just how many people cared for him so deeply? He did make such an impact on so many lives and will be sorely missed.

but if Scott was going to go down, that was the place for him to do it.
Scott hit 50,000 posts here in light-speed time. He did it because he used DU to better his understanding of politics. I got to hang out with him in his home office one day. He had two TVs going - one on CNN and another on the Senate on C-SPAN. He would run 'Senate Watch' threads in GD and let everyone know what was happening.
I don't know. A cowboy dies on his horse. A racer dies in his car. A soldier dies on the battlefield. Somehow, Kef dying at station before his computer, probably doing his work, just strikes me as just and proper. I absolutely hate that he has died, but if we had to lose him, I am comforted that he went doing what he loved to do, and what he was best at. May we all be so fortunate.

he was doing what he loved to do. While, we might wish for more time, none of us can ask more than that.
He had two TVs going - one on CNN and another on the Senate on C-SPAN.
Ha. That's how I always imagined him. Posting away, eyeballing multiple TVs. :-) I admired his concentration. I could never keep up with that much info simultaneously.
