As if tsunami victims don't have enough problems........
<shaking head in disbelief> :wtf:

Churches sending tsunami relief

The Rev. Bob Jones, a traveling evangelist sponsored by Clays Mill Baptist Church, will leave Jan. 17 for a mission trip to India, where he says he thinks the people will be eager to hear his Gospel message.

"People are asking the question, 'Why would God let this happen?'" Jones said. "The Bible has the answer."

He said he will tell them that "God is a loving God. He's a gracious God, but he's also a God of wrath. ... The reason is sort of to wake people up."

8. That's harsh, but I am compelled to agree. Let's turn the tables, folks:
We're a Xian nation. (not "Christian" because those flaunting their religion have nothing to do with Christ)

We get invaded OR we have a natural disaster.

How would we like it if someone from a foreign nation came to us with money and forcing their religion upon us?

The Iraq war, as the original Crusades obviously hadn't, should hopefully prove that you don't invade a country, claim you're liberating them, force YOUR way of life on them, and then get angry when the invaders get killed for putting up Xmas wreaths and such. :grr:

And knowing our Xians, if foreigners came over preaching Hoobiedoobie or whatever deity they believe in, you know many will NOT take it kindly.

That's why tolerance and respect are the only solutions. (let's face another fact; there's no way that enough people will drop their current religions...)

And if our folks choose to be arrogant and pompous and thrust themselves unto everyone else, don't expect me to shed too many tears when they do get killed. (I'll shed some, but I sure as well will keep things in perspective. Those who do the dumb things to get killed keep inside their microcosm, not realizing that people outside of it may sure as hell not like it.)

6. I hope they do.
People like Bob Jones should be prevented from exploiting victims. What a horrible thing to do to people.

that he is planning on abusing their citizens with Claims of God's wrath, they will stop him at the border.

7. A friend of mine said that her rabbis sermon this morning was
about the fact that G-d did not cause the tsunami, NATURE did and that NATURE does not differentiate between those deserving punishment and those not deserving punishment.

It is an act of NATURE.

Oy vey!
