3. They do kick ass live...
I'll give them that. :)

I went to go see them twice last time they toured.

4. Never have seen them live, though it looked like they would be
great. I like their older stuff, too, as I do REM's stuff (Murmur, Life's Rich Pageant, etc.).

5. One of the most amazing shows I ever saw...
U2 played JFK Stadium in 1987 on the Joshua Tree tour. The stadium was jam packed and the energy was amazing! The band sounded great. Just as they started "Bullet the Blue Sky", this airliner flew over us and looked like it was going to land right on top of us. It was almost like it was planned...

Later in the show, Bono asks "Who wants to play my guitar?" The crowd yells for a bit and he says, "I think Bruce Springsteen wants to play my guitar!" The boss comes walking out and they play "Stand By Me".

I always tell my friends that Bono had the crowd in the palm of his hand. I have never felt energy like that a show, ever -- and I have seen these guys five times.

7. I saw them play in Montreal on the same tour.
Energy, chemistry, magic, whatever it was I will never forget it.

6. U2 still rocks.
I like HTDAAB. One of the best albums this past year. It's not "The Joshua Tree" or "Actung Baby" but it shouldn't be.
