My cats woke me up stalking a mouse. Why are you awake? |
|
Seriously, they woke us up about an hour or so ago, romping around the den, chasing this mouse. All four of them.
Ultimately, the mouse crawled inside a rolled newspaper that I had not had time to sit down and read (guess where I was and what I was doing instead of reading the paper LOL), which gave me the opportunity to nab him and get him/her out side the house.
I dumped it out in the middle of the back yard. Hope he got well hidden before the Siamese caught up with him.
Now I am trying to figure out where it came from, since cats were locked in with no pet door access so they didn't get out and find it outside. Possibly slipped in under the garage door.
Now Lewis is stalking birds in the window in this room, endangering my African violets . Poor little birds, look like some kind of sparrows, all fluffed up in the cool air, little do they know hwat evil lurks on the other side of the window ...

So I took her out and she just sat around barking at things for ten minutes.
You should have taken the mouse farther away. The one time we had a mouse we caught it and I took it WAY up the street to the woods and let it out there. In your yard it'll just find a way back in/

3. The S.O. went overboard setting the volume for the white noise machine... |

My ears were ringing so badly, I got up to get some quiet. I suppose the kitties were happy to get b-fast before 9.

4. I don't know. I went to bed at 4 AM |

... after trying to process Kef's passing and share info across PM's.
I woke up 3 hours later. Guess it's going to be a bumpy few weeks.

I don't mind except that she wants to get up by 4AM and sometimes earlier. I've been up since 3:30 today

While I'm probably not ahead of my time, I'm most certainly ahead of your time ;-).

threads...my soul was a bit heavier knowing he will no longer be around DU. Even now tears come to my eyes and I never even met the man in person. I know of him only by what he posted here on DU....
I awoke around 430AM and was able to convince my loving cat that it was far from time to get up.
I was able to get back to sleep around 6AM and slept until 745 when I finally got up and took a shower.

I've had a mildly upset stomach for a few days -- no doubt related to the recent removal of my wisdom teeth (drugs? bacteria?). I felt the need to get up and eat something, but I'm pretty tired still.
