I'll be thirty in a few years, and I have gone years figuring that it's pointless to have criteria because it's limiting, blah blah blah.

I was wrong.

So, besides the "has to like me and be nice";

1-Must be not even a little bit Republican, and must know enough to know why not.

2-Someone who is patient and considerate, who doesn't curse in his car/at waiters/when he's fixing something. Maybe he can even joke about it. I like funny.

3-Must like all kind of films, or at least be open to seeing different kinds. That includes the Spongebob film and Chicken Little.

4-Must like his mother and immediate family(unless he has a very good reason).

5-Must be reasonably healthy mentally. This also includes excessive drinking, drug usage, etc. Jury's still out on how I feel about depression meds, etc. I don't know.

6-Has to at least like kids and animals, even if he doesn't want to be around them every second (as I do have one of each).

7-Must be tolerant of my extremely liberal Christianity--he doesn't have to be one. Would be nice if he was spiritual in some way.

8-Must be tolerant of my talking about celebrities as if I knew them, and my dirty dirty old woman affection for Jamie Bell. Among others.

9-Has to be within 6-7 years of me either way. I have too much baggage for an 18 year old (unless he is Jamie Bell) and am too immature for someone over 40 (unless he is Bono).

10-Must be empathetic and want the best for people everywhere. Unless they do something horrible to me, in which case will stomp ass in a way that is deeply impressive to all present.
