1. I've been quite good.... |
|
Had an excellent spaghetti dinner cooked by my Grand Mother, watching some good football today, and just enjoying my final week of winter break.
Oh, and the household Shar Pei (A.K.A The Commie Dog) has been lying on my feet ever since the Viking/Packers game started... so they've been nice and warm :)

doing evil deeds with my brother and his friend :). I found out that my brother can be useful for something the other day too so I don't feel like hitting him for once.

Also read my case for tomorrow. Alas, winter break ends tonight, and my last semester of law school commences tomorrow. I'm getting my things together, which right now entails consolidating my candy bag.

This semester I'm taking Copyright Law, Family Law and Bioethics and the Law, as well as an extension of my Elder Law Clinic. I'd like to work for legal services or do family or criminal law, or maybe immigration law. Thanks for asking!

|
I went shopping at a supermarket with my mom a week ago, I was carrying 5 heavy bags, and as I walked to her car I tripped and fell down...My body was sprawled out on the pavement and the groceries were rolling away. It happened in the middle of the customer parking lot. Dozens of people saw... Oh well, so I make people laugh...:-)

The mood around here is pretty sad (and rightly so), but I'm still sort of hanging out here to distract myself from my reality which is this:
I just found out I got a better job than the one I just started, but the second one doesn't give me enough hours (although more than the first). Therefore, I need to stay per diem at the first job to fill in the gaps, but they won't like it to say the least.
I had a bout of bronchitis two weeks ago that got a little better (and already went through a course of anti-biotics), but I've still been coughing. Today, I felt so run down and my coughing got worse, so I asked my soon-to-be-ex to listen to my lungs (he's a respiratory therapist). He said my right lobe is compromised and I should go in for a chest ex-ray tomorrow because I probably have a walking viral pneumonia now. (Didn't help that my work had me parking almost 3 blocks away while I was orientating.) I can't go to work and I need to rest because I'm supposed to start orientation for my new job next week (not to mention I have a physical for it Wednesday- I HAVE to be better). I still have additional training for job #1 that I hoped to stay per diem at, but now I'm going to miss it and probably have to quit at this point and pray I will be able to pick up more hours at job #2.
Let's see. I also have to endure this continual emotional manipulation from my ex of which I can't even begin to go into, but he loves to mess with my head in assorted ways and he's rather proud of it unfortunately. Plus, in the next month, we're filing for divorce and taking care of settling matters on our joint property (which at least gives me some money if I'll need it). Lots going on and lots of stress. Almost too much for one person to handle. The nest few weeks really feels like the darkness before the dawn- like some kind of damned test I have to endure.
Anyway, I try not be a whiny person, but the truth of the matter is I could be if I wanted to. :(
Ok, end of my stupid whinefest. *cough*
