For me, it's the credit card bill. I was pressured into paying off a medical bill with the credit card and the interest burns me each month.

8. Yeah, I hear that
Mainly because Mr. BLM decided to up our speed, and our bill has gone up $10 more a month. not worth crying over, but the bill is large as is. It's a tie between that and my phone bills. however, I'm switching to vonage (digital phone) to reduce my phone bill by nearly $50/mo!!!! Can you believe that? I was paying $80/mo because I had to go through AT&T for long distance bc Verizon sucks. $35-40/mo for a regular landline with NO long distance and just call waiting and an unpublished number. Ridiculous huh??

I know at the end of the month I'll be dreading my electricity bill...

6. I hate paying Qwest too
I always pretend I'm writing "Qwap" on the check. The only reason I keep it is because I hate using my cell phone for business calls.

9. Wow...they were real helpful to me
but I couldn't get them for landline service bc stupid Verizon owns our landlines. They are HORRIBLE. Don't EVER go through Verizon for landlines.

17. My husband just canceled our service with TXU
He moved from an apartment to our new house, and when he called them to take the apartment account out of his name they screwed it up and turned off the electricity in our house for two days. Naturally he didn't have the house keys with him, just the garage door opener, and had to stay in a hotel for two days until they turned it back on. He promptly got online and found another electric company. IDJITS.

11. Sears
Those bastards lured me into a new kitchen with 10% rates. I was 2 days late on one payment and they jacked the rate to 21.9%. Now, a $100 payment goes $90 to the vig and $10 to the principal.

Greedy bastards, I'm glad KMart bought them. As soon as I get this crap paid for, those cards go into the shredder.

Interest on credit card bills is a thing of the past. When you get one of those offers for no-transfer-fee and no interest for the next 6 months or whatever, transfer to that card. Keep on top of things and keep transferring so you always stay ahead of having to pay interest. If you are a good record keeper, you never have to pay interest. I paid off a credit card debt in the mid five figures that way. It is dependent on keeping good credit though or the offers don't keep coming. By the time the party was over and I'd paid off the debt, I ended up with credit cards with a total credit line worth about ten times my annual income. Whoo hoo, if I ever have to flee the wrath of the GOP concentration camps, at least I can go in style. :-)

18. My husband pays all the bills
I'm sure he hates our joint credit card bill the most. I cringe when he opens the envelope because he goes over all of MY purchases with a fine-toothed comb, while his are just fine, of course.

Especially the home owners and car insurance -- we've never filed a single claim on either one, but the premiums keep getting higher.

21. I purchased a lifetime membership with Bally's and then I moved to a
city where the Bally's was shitty and then it closed. Nevertheless, I still had membership dues of $9.50 every month, which was infuriating. Finally, I sold the membership (after the fourth try) on eBay for $400. (I paid $1300) Never buy a lifetime membership for ANYTHING.
