2. I'm drinking a dubious merlot even as we speak NT
.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

11. Sherry is wonderful
I'm a member of the Church of England, an institution which would grind to a halt without sherry.

It does have to be done properly, first avoid the sweet stuff, go for a fino or an ammontillado; then chill it, serving room-temp sherry should be a crime.

Try it served with soup, it's far better than a white wine.

10. at least it's better than syrah/shiraz
which tastes like someone took a decent merlot and liberally mixed it with dishwater.
