1. Is the skin broken?
I'm assuming you cleaned the wound well after it happened?

If the area is red and/or warm to the touch, it very well might be infected.

Is it bruised? Is your hand in proper working order otherwise?

2. Go to the ER, right now.
Animal bites can get very seriously infected. They respond to specific antibiotics, so the one you took might not be the right one. I got a cat bite once that got terribly infected, and even with antibiotics it took over a week to clear up. It's nothing to fool around with, so you really should get medical help ASAP.

Hmm, doubt you'll get an answer here - liability and all that
I'd seek a forum more directly related to either dogs or medicine.
You really should be seeking medical attention if it is that bad, emergency rooms should take you, insurance or not.

3. Go to an urgent care center or clinic....ASAP
seriously. Taking an anti-biotic won't fix it. Bites can often require intravenous anti-biotics. It's not something to mess around with.
