1. Yeah, but doesn't that kid have some sort of health problem
that is partially responsible for her weight? It's not just overeating.

4. I was watching one of those TV magazines, like Dateline,
one evening, and saw a story like this.

Social services stepped in because the girl was so obese.

They discovered that she had a health problem that was difficult to diagnose. It was not the parents fault. They put the kid on a diet, and she is doing better.

5. there is NO money for research.. ~30% obesity is caused by a virus AD-36

but the tax cuts have stopped most Pure Research programs

check out this site http://www.excel.net/~jaguar/fatvirus.html the article says 15% but the new research says more than 30%

i have known slim athletic people from as far back as 1966 who always claimed they got a virus then gained weight.. usually over 100 pounds.

my wife has the same problem and can not lose weight.. and has been on weight watchers simply to keep from gaining more weight, she knows she can never lose it.

there needs to be some serious research done on this.. it is an EPIDEMIC. it it was the flu they would have closed the schools in 1972,

the tax cuts are causing suffering in every aspect of our culture. we got $138 tax cut and our property taxes went up $717, andthe state wants an income tax.. the schools are running only 4 days a week because of no money and the teachers are quiting because of no 'child left behind'. the city sale tax went up.. services are down firestations are closing when they need to be built, the police are short 30%, no one stops at stop signs or lights, speeders kill people nearly every day... since we moved to TN it is not so bad but there are 4 or 5 houses for sale on every street.. the streets are crumbling.. people are complaning about lack of police and other problems too.
