Does anyone know if Yahoo! and Newsmax have an official relationship?

One of the members of a not-for-profit I work with has suddenly started getting twice and thrice daily newsmax garbage to his yahoo account. While I assume it's spam, he's concerned that there may be a link between the two services. I've never heard anything like that, but....

Anybody?

2. That's what I was thinking...

Though I seemed to recall that Yahoo had a "we don't sell names" policy... but then again, Yahell has been less than scrupulous in the past.
