Is David Palmer still president? (FOX's 24)
I missed the first epizode of 24 (4th season)... Did anyone watch it? Is Palmer still a president? I liked the man very much in the past 24s. But the way the last season ended I doubt he will be president in the new season.

So, is he? Os is he not?

Is he a republican? Is he the senator from the 3rd season that was blackmailing Palmer?

2. No he's not - remember he decided to pull out of the race

This story is 18 months after the last 24. My ? is the white guy they pictured as President the one who was Palmer's opponent last 24 who Sherry Palmer tried to make a deal with.

BTW, 24 producers said David Palmer may show up some time this season.

Only glimpse last night of David Palmer was the actor doing Allstate commercials.

7. No it doesn't, IMHO. I was riveted to the story line
last night. And will watch tonight. It's a breath of fresh air with all these new people.

5. Random fact of the day: Dennis Haysbert was Pedro Cerrano in "Major League
It was on TV the other day, and took me a while to get, but it was President Palmer as the eccentric slugger in the movie. It's also weird for me to see him in the Allstate commercials.

6. I realized this during the third season, and surprised
my husband by yelling "F@#k you Jobu, I'll do it myself!" at the screen.

10. Yes, but that was countered by the SoD's
son's actions, i.e., how the son can't support his dad's politics.

11. They showed that Haysbert insurance commerical during 24!
I think new prez is going to turn out to be a bush-like prez. We loved Palmer as prez, but I think this new prez will be a neocon that we will love to hate.

13. I thought there were allusions to this administration
The son of the kidnapped secretary of defense said something like, "our allies last year hate us now because we're trying to take over the world!"

Hmmmm.

14. Exactly! I've seen some flack from DUers about the ...
...Micheal Moore slam and the fact that the terrorists are Muslims...but I bet you anything by the end of the season, Muslim terrorists will have little or nothing to do with it. I suspect a very intricate plot involving a major corporation and the administration.

Hmmmmm indeed...

Just wait and see...
