I hate proof-reading
My boss did a rewrite on a technical note and he's asked me to proof-it, mostly for formatting, but you know, over-all.

These kind of technical notes do not make for very interesting reading.... well, not to me anyway.

How am I going to get through the next 13 pages?

1. trade ya'
I love proofreading. You do a job for me, I'll do a job for you.

Seriously, find someone else in the office to do it and you do a job for them. I have a working relationship like this and it has been immensely productive.

2. Iiieww....
I used to proof-read for a university paper... that was some great reading, let me tell you. But technical notes, yuck. Good luck! Get yourself a coffee or tea or something, and figure out some kind of motivator to get you through it! (One DU post per page read?:) )
