We need to get serious about ESPN & Limbaugh (and a form to contact ESPN)

His comments about Donavan McNabb and once again using the race card were well out of line. IggleDOer in GD started a great thread about the comment with some excellent articles from the local Philadelphia program. But I know some of you don't venture into GD so I wanted to get this going in the Lounge:

Oh - the comment:

Personally, I don't give a flying hoot what you think about Donovan McNabb or the Philadelphia Eagles. Heck, I'll be the first to agree that Donovan is having a horrible start which attributed to the first 2 embarassing loss by the Eagles. But the poor playing by McNabb has nothing to do with skin color. He's just playing crappy football and that's universal occurance no matter what your skin color, race, religion etc etc just happens to be.

If you're fed up please use this handy link below to let ESPN know that you will not put up with them giving air time to a racist asshole like Rush Limbaugh. I will no longer watch ESPn and I don't care how good SportsCenter is.

5. We can ignore him but...

we can't sit idly by and allow this to continue. I have yet to turn on ESPN for football and I rarely watch Sportscenter anymore. I will write a letter and I will let them know that I'm getting involved in the boycotts

However we need still need to make noises about this one. Limbaugh is going to pull a 'Savage' soon enough!

2. I think it's good that he's on ESPN

Rush has left his safe little caccoon. Now when he says racist things like this, it's getting some real press. As such, he's going to continue to say things that completely discredit him (assuming anyone thinks he has any credibility) and it's only going to hurt his career. Who doesn't believe that at some point he'll pull a Savage on ESPN? Seems to me we're hearing a lot less lately about Savage, and once Rush does the same thing on ESPN, we'll be hearing a lot less from him.

I sent them a note indicating the I would no longer be viewing their programming or visiting their website(s).

They sent me a note indicating their reason for hiring the Pig Man. I simply replied, once again that until he is removed from your payroll, I will no longer be consuming their product.

I definetely will boycott the advertisers on this ESPN/Rush show, but as I don't watch it, who are the sponsors, please? Is there an organized boycott site? Thanks.

If letters and calls and pressure don't work, one of these days, Tom Jackson is going to get fed up, hurdle the desk, and lay a good ol' fashioned linebacker ass-whupping on Limbaugh. I will definitely be watching that episode.
