Helpful hint for problem snackers. |

If you have a weakness for chips, as I do, but are not ready to give them up altogether, here is a good rule to follow. Rather than eating chips straight from the bag (and we all know how enormous bags of chips are now), put them in a reasonable-sized cereal bowl, and stop when the bowl is done.

Portion control is always smart. There IS such a thing as too much of a good thing.

I do something similar for lunch. Instead of eyeballing, I use my tiny kitchen scale and measure out the "serving" size listed on the package and put that in a sandwich bag and that's all I get. If I have to cheat, I'll do a serving and a half, and that's it.
I'm a chip addict and I can eat them all day long if I'm not careful.
