My late pup
I just found this picture of her. I rescued her from my abusive ex husband (he liked to beat her too). She was cremated and her favorite toy is in the box. I have left instructions that when I'm dead and gone, she will be in the box with me.

4. what a cutie
I have way too many little cedar boxes with ashes and toys and photos in them; 'tswhat happens when you never turn away a stray and they all live to be 1000 years old in dog and cat years.

I dunno I think they'll just have to re-cremate us all together. I know one thing for sure I don't want my ashes scattered in this damn state, but that means somebody's going to be raising eyebrows traveling with a suitcase full of white powder!

and her dad was an opportunist. :) She's been dead for about 8 years, but I still think of her often.

13. I was five when I got my dog Inky...
and I had to put him down when I was 21. He's been dead for almost 24 years, and I think about him everyday.

How could anyone have been mean to your sweet little dog? Some people are absolute idiots.

Pure-dee psychopath, that one. I don't think I'll ever not think of Sally (my young niece named her). Since I couldn't sleep without her next to me, her box is going into my box so we can sleep together.

25. Karma definely kicked in
When I had cancer he repeatedly told me that I should die. He tried to smother me in my sleep among other things. Now I'm with derby and I'm happy as a clam. Cancer free, wonderful hubby while my ex lost his house and last I heard the ASPCA took a dog away from him because of abuse. He's a habitual liar, but according to him he's in a nursing home with MS. Aww. Too friggin' bad.

6. Sorry about her, cute dog
We also rescued an abused dog, and he's become like a little brother to me. I don't even want to think about him dying yet, as he's in the prime of his life, but I'll miss him like family. I really hope that there is a "doggie heaven".

Your furry baby was very lucky to have you for a mom!

12. Thank you
I hope she felt the same way. I've not gotten another dog because the pain was too great. I was with her when the vet euthanised her. Even the vet teared up. She was special and looked after me when I had cancer.

26. Well, get this....
When I was in chemotherapy - the biggest guns they have - he pushed me down on the floor where I work and stomped on my chest. Broken ribs. The night before I left him he drove me around bad parts of town to see the homeless huddling against the cold. He said that's what would happen to me. Psyops, big time. I think he's getting his due now.

you would have been aquitted. I am sorry you had to put up with a "man" like that. I sure hope he is getting his due.

This is a picture of my girl Angel and her two pups. I took her in two weeks before this picture was taken. If she sees me putting on my belt she starts cowering and acts as if she has been beaten before. I have never so much as verbally scolded her (she's a sweet-heart), so I think her previous human had abused her. All I can do about that is give Angel the best life she can have from now on.

31. That trauma can last a lifetime
Maybe if you used the belt as a leash, she would start to see it as a positive thing. Or wrap it around your hand have give her monster petting. That might assuage some of the trauma. She's a doll!

38. they love you so much don't they? Animals, give me one anytime.
the best things i heard in the tsunami is about the temple elephants that knew the wave was coming and cried, running away at last. They were later found walking through the water, picking up people and putting them on their back. SNIFFLE! I love animals. Your dog is wonderful.

Anyone who hurts an animal is a bastard. Hurting that little dog? Your
ex was a bitch.
