would you prefer to live where it is sunny all the time,
or do you like the change of seasons?

2. Sunny all the time makes a desert.
I would probably miss the seasons too much to live in a perpetually warm climate. But ask me again come retirement age.

3. I'm leaning towards sunny.
With the weather in Southern California and nearby lately, it seems nowhere is safe. :scared:

But yeah, I'm sick of the cold. Someday, I doubt I'll want to be living in it.

6. That would drive me NUTS!!!
During the spring and summer here in Philadelphia, if we have too many sunny days in a row I get really, really cranky. The same happens if we have too many cloudy days. I prefer to mix it up.

Also, women in turtlenecks turn me on.

8. I would prefer a mix, but
far more sun than clouds/rain/snow. I've seen the sun exactly once in the last 5 days, with none in the forecast. Boo.

9. I don't mind sunny, just not on an island.
and it's gotta rain every once in a while.

I could care less about seasons. I've done seasons. Will travel to where seasons are happening, enjoy, then return to sunshine.

12. Me too! Seasons are overrated. Too much sun is a desert,
but too much fog is California.

Yes, I know what I'm talking about. I fully expect the fog to roll in once it stops raining, and stay until September.

If it ever stops raining, that is.

Believe me, there is such a thing as too much sun. I used to long for cloudy days.

11. I too lived in Phoenix
about 24 years ago and remember one day my father said that if he saw another sunny day he'd throw up. I agreed. Being 16 at the time, I loved it when it did rain because the oil on the road would loosen and you could have a lot of fun doing donuts, etc. It was kind of like driving on snow. I like the sun here in NC and the change in seasons.

20. Give me humidity any day over dry heat
I hated that expression. That is what the midwesterners, who were escaping the brutal winters, would tell themselves during the summer.

26. I totally agree.
I ran track and cross country back then in 110 heat. We did a ten miler one day up and around the Cactus Rd and 35th area. Thank God for the canals. Wet the shirt, put around your neck. Still hot as hell.

18. Seasons, all the way
I lived in Hawaii for a few years and the constancy of the weather there makes it impossible to sense the passage of time. At least for me, who grew up in Chicago.

Southern California, where I lived for six years, is a little better. But they only have 2 seasons.

San Antonio, where I live now, is much better. There are actually 4 seasons here.

:bounce:

32. I'd love to live in a tropical paradise. However...
This is my home, and I've gotten so used to this climate. I don't think I would be able to live any place that was warm in the winter. I would suffer withdrawl from those -15 days with 40 mph winds.

33. I must have seasons...lots of 'em.
I love changing weather. I like warm drenching rain, cold drizzle, thunderstorms that rattle the windows. I like snow so long as there's not too much of it...I hate ice.
Overcast and dry with a cool breeze is nice too.
Sunny is good with some fluffy white clouds is marvelous. No clouds and brilliant blue sky is rare but appreciated.

Spring and Autumn are the Best...Winter is fine...Summer is tolerable unless it's Hazy hot and humid. Then You can have it! That's the one thing I don't like and would never miss.

34. The Grass is Always Greener
While I lived in Los Angeles I kind of mourned the weather- sometimes when I was in a dour, meloncholy mood, I just really wanted dreary weather and California would taunt me with its beauty.

Of course, since I've had to come back to North Carolina for a while and it's all cold and icky, I miss the beautiful weather (of course, now its raining in CA, but I think it's just crying because it wants me to come home.)

So, I can't win.

40. YES! I tried, I really tried... after 20 years in the northeast...
I had to get back to the sun. I do miss the change in seasons, but the compromise, in weather at least, is worth it. As for the other stuff... I HATE living in Florida. I am so looking forward to moving to California where I can have sunshine and progressiveness.
