How does one activate the "ignore" function"

1. you see the little sleeping man icon to the right of my name?

Not the little grey man, that just signifies I'm a moderator... The little colored one on the far right of the crop of icons.

If you wanted to put me on ignore (why you would do such a thing is beyond me, but it's just an example), you would click the little sleeping man icon.

Same goes for the person you actually want to ignore. Just find one of their posts and click the little sleeping man.
