I doubt it will come to our town and I want to know if it is worth a road trip to see it.
Vera Drake never got here either, I guess people don't want to see a movie that might fire up a few brain cells.
Once the Oscar nominations come out they might come to town after that. That's how I got to see one of my all time favorites, "Full Monty", it was here for one week after it was nominated.

1. I don't know where it's showing. |
|
I've wanted to see it for a while. Unfortunately my city doesn't usually get the privilege to show limited-distribution films.

10. all those good movies are playing here |

but I don't have time to see them. Want to see Kinsey, and Vera Drake looks really good. I love Mike Leigh movies.

7. Every Human should see this movie |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 09:42 PM by AchtungToddler
At least every westerner.
I posted after seeing it (can't find it now, may have been too over the top?): "Thinking of killing yourself? HOLD OFF!" ...."at least until you've seen Hotel Rwanda, it will be much easier then".
And it is a brutal, make-you-ashamed-to-be-human, movie. It wrecked me.
Bill Clinton gets a right spanking in it too, if you watch closely enough.
I'd love to see a movement, by we the people, that would cause this movie to sweep the Academies, because somehow, someway, we need to send the message to our leaders that we want, nay, demand them to intervene in situations like Rwanda.

9. It's playing at the theater closeby, and it's on my list |
|
behind "A Very Long Engagement" and "Sideways". I have to be in the right frame of mind to see "Hotel Rwanda"; I know someone who worked for Doctors Without Borders and was dispached to Rwanda. She had horror stories that I can't even write down.
