Poll question: Which High School Subject Did You Do The Best In? |
|
For me it was Social Studies, and specifically government. I was an average student, with C grades in nearly every class.
Except social studies, which I never got below an A in.
Oh, I was also good in English.

I struggled to get a low C, maybe that is why my sentence structure and grammar is bad.

did very well in both. Usually As. Loved history too, but not a realiable A, usually got a B without too much trouble.
Except for geometry, math sucked big ones. I struggled to make Cs in it.

I took 3 art classes in my senior year. Runner up, calculus. I would have aced computers, but they only had crappy Apple II's, so I didn't take it. I hated english as you can probably tell by my poor sentence structure. :)

14. Math, because all I had to do was get good marks on the tests |
|
My grades in high school were all pretty high (because I was a geek and didn't have anything better to do), but I definitely found some courses easier to do well at than others. In English I always struggled to get over 90%, because my writing style was awkward and I couldn't spell for beans. And as much as I loved Social Studies, the papers tended to drag me down into the low 90's there as well.
Science and foreign languages didn't have papers, but they took a lot of memorization, and it was easy to lose points just because you couldn't come up with the right equation or definition.
But in math, all it took was knowing how to solve problems, and I was a whiz at that. It was never my favorite subject, but it was certainly the easiest.

I won class awards in different subjects differnt year. One year, I'd be the best student in English and French and the next in biology and history. I studied, but high school was pretty easy for me. My school did a good job of teaching the basics but was not really aimed at the college prep student so I did not have to put as much effort into it if I had gone to a better school. I did study, but not excessively, not nearly as much in college where I got lower grades for much more of an effort.

I did very well in my creative writing classes, but not in all of my english classes because I often did not do the reading, and I often neglected to turn in papers. I did very well in Biology, also. But I got perfect scores on all tests and A+'s on all papers in Psychology. I had a very good teacher.
