It's the oddest thing - I have a bit of the 'ol churning stomach. A few hours ago, I let go of a burp, and my friend asked me if I had just eaten a box of matches. It's rather sulphur-y, and has been since that fateful burp. Should I be concerned? Should I go get a candle?

1. You should go to a doctor... no medical advice here |

giardia. I live in Nepal where intestinal problems are considered dinner table conversation. Giardia is not common in America but does happen, particularly if you've drunk from a stream. Sometimes it can be dormant for quite a long time before bothering you. Many labs in the US have a difficult time identifying it in a "sample."
Good Luck!

4. Man, one of my dogs had that when he was a puppy |

Ugly, ugly, ugly experience. I will spare you the description of his crate but suffice to say I would have thought you would know it if you had it!
By the way, the vet ID'd it in about 10 seconds - if the lab lets you down you might want to try a vet!

I've not been near a stream... though I was pegging it as something gastrointestinal :)

had a very unsettling Mexican dinner yesterday. Didn't sit well then... wondering if maybe this was the residue from that. Enjoyed the meal while I was eating it though :)

10. I had a similar experience a few years ago |
|
It was followed by a nasty stomach flu which lasted about 48 hours. Diarrhea, gas, nausea...you know the drill.
Drink plenty of water.

used to get that once every few years. Bad coffee would do it. Trucker, you know. He called it "gut rot" constipated for a couple of days then fine.
