This obit is funny as hell (and real too).
"Robert James Smith

Robert James (Bob) Smith, 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina, surprised and annoyed his wife by dying in his sleep in the early hours of January 6, 2005.
"

For the rest (you will laugh):

1. Send your donations to the Libertarian party
While flowers are certainly appreciated, please consider a charitable donation the Unitarian Fellowship, the Libertarian Party, or the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.

Plus, that's a really good Acquarium.

8. The pinnacle of what Western society allows a man to become.
Funny, loving, loved, intelligent, caring, passionate, heavy, and happy, with a real love of explosions.

9. Can mine be as pithy?
What an optimistic and appreciative tribute that was.

This obituary reminded me of the main character in The Last Juror by John Grisham. He buys an old country paper and increases circulation by spicing up the obits!

10. Bob you were my kinda guy, would have loved having a few with you...
look up some of my family members and my friend Jack who recently passed. He too left his body to science, I used to kid him that all the student would find out was he had scotch instead of blood in his veins. Here's to you :toast:

12. I bet so too.
I'm thinking he wrote most of it himself. If so, he wrote himself one heck of a funny obit.

14. This is a classic
What a great guy. I remember reading an obit once that started "....passed away after a long, courageous battle with doctors." I want to leave behind a smile like that.
