The AFA is losing their minds.
Or at least what's left of 'em.

I mean, they run this picture of their "leader," Donald Wildmon:

And have this article about "cartoon characters promoting homosexuals!"

Children's TV Unites to Launch Pro-Homosexual Campaign of 'Tolerance'
SpongeBob, Arthur, Pooh, Bob the Builder, Little Mermaid, Many Others Enlisted in Stealth Effort
Feature by Ed Vitagliano
January 10, 2005

(AgapePress) - It is as unprecedented as it is cunning, using all the right words and happiest faces in an attempt to speak directly to the nation's children about "tolerance and diversity." Once again, of course, those ideas include homosexual advocacy.

On November 10, 2004, a video remake of the song, "We Are Family," was created using the voices and images of over 100 beloved children's TV characters. On March 11, 2005, the video performance will air simultaneously on the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and PBS. A similar video aired on those networks in 2002. (See earlier story)

The nation's children will be all too familiar with the characters on the video, incuding those from Arthur, Barney, Blue's Clues, Bob the Builder, The Book of Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dora the Explorer, Jimmy Neutron, Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Little Mermaid, Madeline, The Magic School Bus, The Muppet Show, Rugrats, Sesame Street and SpongeBob SquarePants.

11. I don't know how he retained any credibility after that
Up until last summer, I used to always listen to about American Family Radio quite a bit, for laughs and for opposition research. Don still has a half hour show on the network, the AFA Report, in which he and his minions act shocked and self-righteous. He's still as loony as he ever was. :eyes:

3. Don gets it!
Quote: Most Christians are now aware of what those code words mean, said American Family Association chairman Don Wildmon. "If you are a person who accepts the homosexual lifestyle, then you are tolerant," he said. "If you don't, then you are a bigot who is motivated by ignorance and hate."

So what's your point, Don?

4. That Whole Organization is Filled With Idiots
The head of the Colorado Springs chapter is a so-called "minister" who phones in to local talk radio shows all the time, demonstrating how homophobic and ignorant he is. I've referred to his lively organization many times on the air as the "American Fascist Association". They're in cahoots with James Dobson and his gang of misfit morons at "Focus on our Phobias."

5. If it was not so scary, it would be hysterically funny. This is the same

mentality that was saying one of those inocuous kid's cartoon characters was gay because it was purple!!!!!!! It is just too too sick. All these people need to have some intense psychiatric treatment.
We are really teetering dangerously close to the edge of a McCartyism type of society....if we are not already there!!!

6. "The Book of Pooh"
lol... Makes it sound like some sort of religious text! I don't recall anything by A. A. Milne actually having that title, but that's no surprise coming from this group.

8. Web rule #1:do not post photo on yr site unless you are drop-dead gorgeous
That was one of the first rules I learned about the web back in 1996 from www.webpagesthatsuck.com: unless you are very good looking, most people probably don't need to see your pic.

Sadly, the AFA is ignorant of this rule.

9. So, it's bad to teach children to accept people for who they are?
I feel really bad for the children of people who are this crazy.
