My husband works for Apple and just called to tell me, they swear them to secrecy so i don't find out about new products until the general public does, it drives my crazy.

heat issues and G4 is the appropriate processor for the mini price and target audience
Apple can squeeze plenty out of the G4
besides if you really want a G5 mini if it eventually comes out, for $500 you can probably afford to upgrade
