15 finalists for NFL Hall of Fame class fo '05 announced

Up to seven of these finalists will be selected for induction into the Hall of Fame this year. The annoucement of the class of 2005 will be made during Super Bowl weekend in February. The induction ceremonies will take place in August during Hall of Fame Weekend in Canton, Ohio.

Michael Irvin
Harry Carson
Derrick Thomas
Richard Dent
LC Greenwood
Russ Grimm
Art Monk (DEFINITELY IMHO)
Bob Kuechenberg
George Young- Giants former GM (a shoe in IMHO)
Roger Wehrli- who played for the Cardinals in the 70s.

The veterans committee nominated two players this year, Fritz Pollard who was the first African-American coach in NFL history and Benny Friedman who played for the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers back in the 20s and 30s.
