You mean the Super Bowl MVPs Peyton hasn't won and the rings he doesn't have? Oh, yeah! I remember those!

it's kinda fun not having any of my teams in the playoffs.
I have a nice sense of calm, and I can sit back and watch some people implode after their team loses...
(not that I want it to happen too often, though)

7. Payton the choker; never could beat Florida either. |
|
Seems wherever he goes, he has a team he just can't beat. I am disgusted by Indy this year, I have never before seen, in pro football, such a concerted effort to run up stats, keeping payton in and throwing late in the fourth when up by 4 tds, stuff like that. Just so he can break the record. And in the end, since he is a choker, he will choke, just like his hero marino, all stats, no rings.
Roethlisberger is a far greater story; no rookie has ever done what he has done, and if he can run it, noone in football will have ever done anything close. Just imagine it, second/third tier who-dat rookie, pushed into starting role by injury to starter, and runs the table. Its mythic, its amazing, what could happen.
Payton? Overrated legacy who is expected to win does whats expected of him; where's the drama in that?
