How long can one fast and not get sick? |
|
I've been fasting for a day and a half. I feel pretty good actually, but I was just wondering how long is safe before one becomes ill. Just curious.
Thanks in advance. :-)

Robin Quivers (From the Stern Show) did a series of Four 3 week fasts and lost 76 pounds.
I wouldnt suggest it- but maybe look for some info on the net.
Anytime I have fasted I was told to drink Apple Juice, Tea (non sweetened) and Water

5. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! |

And if you stay on a fast for more than a few days, be very careful taking hot showers with the door closed...you could pass out.
If you stay on a fast for more than a few days...you need to be cautious about resuming eating...start with things like broth and move up to solids over the course of a day or so.
I used to do fasts when I was younger for as long as 2 weeks. Don't think I could hack it now.
