"Queer Eye For The Straight Guy": Three hanky tearfest tonight
The Fab Five gave a soldier shipping out to Iraq, his wife, and young daughter an occasion to remember. Since the soldier and his wife were married outside of the USA, the Fab Five paid for a wedding for them, shower gifts, and a redecorating of their apartment so wife and daughter will be fine while the husband is gone.

I was just fine till the soldier, Ray, pulled out a piece of jewelry to give to his new wife. It's a heart that breaks in half; they each wear half till they are back together. The wife kissed her husband's new necklace and said that it was "a kiss you'll have forever." I was sick inside wondering to myself if Ray will ever come back to his young family. I'm also sick inside knowing that * is doing this to families all over the country, and just doesn't give a shit. And, yeah, I had a good cry.

Did anyone else see this?

1. I saw it...
I purposely sat by my computer and posted on DU at the same time so I wouldn't get sucked in emotionally. I really liked the part about the fab 5 giving the soldier that great care package

2. I loved the care package
I also thought it was great at the end of the episode that they gave tips on what would make a great care package for a soldier in Iraq. I hope that some of their viewers will decide to take them up on it.

3. I saw it.
What a lovely couple.

My heart just breaks when I think about the separation faced by so many families..all due to Bush and his warmongering lies.
