Actually discovered it in my kid's class last year. The teacher always served a snack the parents brought in. One day were the mangoes and this was the first time the kids ever saw it. I was hooked from that day.
Then I discovered Costco sold these morsels. I buy a couple of bags every visit!

Laulau, pipikaula, fresh aku, PICKLE MANGOES! I don't know any stores that sell em, except maybe Tamashiro's market. Wow my mouth is watering just thinking about em. :)

I hang out on Big Island or Maui...I will be looking for them next time for sure....
Another mango story...guess we were driving in Maui on the road to Hana, and I saw all those mango trees. I almost begged the spouse to drop me off and leave me under a mango tree....ahhhhhh....

...you should try it if you haven't already. They come in thick spears that are really chewy and juicy. WOW!
