Skin-crawly-creepiest song lyric ever?
Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 03:35 AM by UdoKier
(one that wasn't meant to be creepy)

For me it has to be "Lay lady lay"

Ugh.

I also got a kick from Clay Aiken's "Invisible"

If I was invisible
I would just watch you in your room
If I was invincible
I'd make you mine tonight

So... the stalker would spy on her, then take her by force?

2. An Elvis chestnut
I used to pull down on your pigtails
And pinch your turned-up nose
But you've been growin'
And lately it's been showin'
From your head down to your toes

(Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done!)

I don't know why the Cramps haven't covered this one.

3. Tool - Prison Sex (really f*cked up lyrics follow)
Well, you asked, so here are the words to the song:
------
It took so long to remember just what happened.
I was so young and vestal then
you know it hurt me
but I'm breathing so I guess I'm still alive
even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
I've got my hands bound
my head down my eyes closed
and my throat wide open.
Do unto others what has been done to you

I'm treading water
I need to sleep a while.
My lamb and martyr you look so precious.
Won't you come a bit closer,
close enough so I can smell you.
I need you to feel this,
I can't stand to burn too long.
Released in this sodomy.
For one sweet moment I am whole.

Do unto you now what has been done to me.

You're breathing so I guess you're still alive
even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
Won't you come just a bit closer,
close enough so I can smell you.
I need you to feel this.
I need this to make me whole.
There's release in this sodomy.
For I am your witness that
blood and flesh can be trusted.
And only this one holy medium brings me piece of mind.

Got your hands bound, your head down,
your eyes closed.
You look so precious now.

I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this
shit blood and cum on my hands.

I've come round full circle.
My lamb and martyr, this will be over soon.
You look so precious.

40. Great nomination.
How 'bout a masturbation song? By same songwriter, no less...

"Thinking of You" A Perfect Circle

Lying all alone and restless.
Unable to lose this image.
Sleepless, unable to focus on anything but your surrender.
Tugging a rhythm to the vision that's in my head.
Tugging a beat to the sight of you lying.
So delighted with your new understanding.
There's something about a little evil that makes that
unmistakable noise I was hearing,
That unmistakable sound I know so well.
Spent and sighing with that look in your eye.
Spent and sweating with a look on your face like
Sweet revelation.
Sweet surrender.
Thinking of you.
Thinking of you.
Sweet revelation.
Sweet surrendering.

8. DOA by Bloodrock. Creepiest fucking lyrics ever!
Laying here looking at the ceiling
Someone lays a sheet across my chest
Something warm is flowing down my fingers
Pain is flowing all through my back

I try to move my arms and there's no feeling
And when I look I see there's nothing there
The face beside me stopped it totally bleeding
The girl I knew has such a distant stare

I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air

Then I looked straight at the attendant
His face is pale as it can be
He bends and whispers something softly
He says there's no chance for me

I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air

Life is flowing out my body
Pain is flowing out with my blood
The sheets are red and moist where I'm lying
God in Heaven, teach me how to die

I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air

the title. True story: I was driving through the desert late one night on a lonely California highway, the 395 which runs along the Sierras and is other-worldly, anyway. Heard this song for my first and only time, on the Dr. Demento show. It hit me hard for no apparent reason, and I was overcome with an overwhelming sense of impending doom. which didn't leave me until I found out why, when one week later my brother was seriously injured in an accident, losing his leg and nearly bleeding to death when he was run over by a jumbo jet while working at his new job as a ramp employee at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. I knew the second I got the news that this is what had overwhelmed me.

15. Sting meant that to be a stalker song
and was shocked/horrified when people took it to be a "love song". It was about obsession. Speaking of which, there's that song: "who do you want me to be to make you sleep with me?"

17. Metallica "One".....
"I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops in me

Now that the war is through with me I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there is not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me

Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live

Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime noveltyTied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me

Now the world is gone I'm just one
Oh God, help me hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, help me

Darkness imprison me
All that I see
Absolute horrorI cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell

Landmine Has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing Taken my arms Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell"

18. You know, The Turtles' "Happy Together" has a desperate sound.
"Imagine me and you...I do."

I'm not sure both of these people know they're seeing each other.

"I think about you day and night"

Obsessed, much?

"It's only right"

See--it's a question of *rightness* whether he should be thinking of her. He's justifying it in his head.

"To think about the one you love--and hold her tight"

Just *how* tight?

"So happy together....
I can't see me loving nobody but you
*For all my life*"

There is no possibility of happiness otherwise.

"When you're near me baby the skies will be blue
*for all my life*"

"For all my life" is repeated. The object of affection is responsible not just for the happiness--but possibly the life of the speaker.

And imagine how the rest goes' "Me and you--and you and me...the only one for me is you, and you for me" It's starts sounding more and more like the internal monologue of a stalker. The "so happy together" sounds a little less so. I think "Nine Inch Nails" could do a super cover of this.

(Don't worry about me--*I* don't always even know when I'm being tongue in cheek.)

19. My eyes adored you
song about a guy obsessing about his love in 6th grade....Hey get over it

My eyes adored ya
Though I never laid a hand on you
My eyes adored ya
Like a million miles away from me you couldn't see how I adored ya
So close, so close and yet so far
Carried your books from school
Playin' "make-believe you're married to me"
You were fifth-grade, I was sixth
When we came to be
Walkin' home every day over Barnegat Bridge and Bay
Till we grew into the me and you
Went our separate ways
CHORUS
Headed for city lights
Climbed the ladder up to fortune and fame
I worked my fingers to the bone
Made myself a name
Funny I seemed to find
That no matter how the years unwind
Still I reminisce 'bout the girl I miss
And the love I left behind
CHORUS

(My eyes adored ya)
All my life I will remember
(Though I never laid a hand on you)
How warm and tender we were way back then, whoa, whoa, baby
(Like a million miles away from me you couldn't see how I adored ya)
Oh, the feeling, sad regrets
(So close, so close and yet so far)
I know I won't ever forget ya, my childhood friend
(My eyes adored ya)
(Though I never laid a hand on you)
(My eyes adored ya)
(Like a million miles away from me you couldn't see how I adored ya)
FADE
So close, so close and yet so far

41. The Song is called Pretty When you Cry...
It is by a band called Vast..

It starts off...

Your made of my rib or baby
Your made of my sins
And I don't know where my lust ends
or where your loves begins

I didn't want to hurt you baby
I didn't want to hurt you
I didn't want to hurt you
but your pretty when you cry

I'm doing these lyrics by memory so forgive me if they aren't fully correct.

29. How about Led Belly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night"?
My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night

In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines in the pines
where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband, was a hard working man
Just about a mile from here
His head was found in a driving wheel
But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night

In the pines in the pines
where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines in the pines
where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

32. Thru These Walls -- Phil Collins
I can hear thru' these walls
I can hear it when they're foolin' around
I can hear thru' these walls
And I hear ev'ry sign, ev'ry sound
I can hear thru' these walls
In the dark with the shades pulled down

Ev'ry word that they say
Ev'ry noise they make feels it's coming my way

My fav'rite moment
Putting the glass up next to the wall
Imagination
Tho' I see nothing, I hear it all
Putting my sign up
Do not disturb me, speak or shout, inside out
Oh mind my clothes, they're all laid out

I can see thru' my windows
I can see the girls and the boys
I can see thru' my windows
And I can imagine the noise
I can see thru' my windows
I can see them playing with toys

Oh I hope it won't end
If I promise not to touch, just be a friend

Life is so lonely
I don't get high off just being me
I like pretending
Wanting to touch them, wanting to see
It's only normal
Creeping behind you, now don't shout, 'cos it's alright
They keep the windows locked and the door shut tight

Oo I'm feeling like I'm locked in a cage
No way in, no way out, and it gets so lonely
Am I really asking a lot
Just to reach out and touch somebody
'Cos when I look thru' my windows or open my door
I can feel it all around me

I can hear thru' these walls
I can hear it when they're foolin' around
I can hear thru' these walls
And I hear ev'ry sight, ev'ry sound
I can hear thru' these walls
In the dark with the shades pulled down

Ev'ry word that they say
Ev'ry noise they make feels it's coming my way

Ah yeah...

Over You
(A. Orange/C. Toussaint)

There's a-gonna be some slow slow walkin'
There's gonna be some sad sad talkin'
There's gonna be some flower bringin'
There's gonna be some sad sad singin'
Over you, child, wo I said over you
Hey hey, oh baby, if I ever hear you say we're through

Oh there'll be a hole about 6 feet deep
For you, baby, to take your sleep
Into a coffin & a-down you go
& you will stay there, sleet or snow
Over you, wo I said over you, wo oh
Over you, pretty baby, if I ever hear you say we're through

Yeah there'll be a long black Cadillac
& all your folks will be dressed in black
Yeah baby, they'll be puttin' you away
Pretty mama, they'll be grievin' that day
Over you, it's gonna be all over you, wo oh
Over you, pretty baby, if I ever hear you say we're through

Wo I'm gonna have to kill you, baby
Tell me that's what I'll do, what I'll do
Wo baby, if I ever hear you say we're through

Yeah I'm gonna slay you, mama
Now tell me what'd I say, what'd I say?
Hey baby, if you ever treated me that way

Wo gonna kill you, baby
Tell me what I'll do, what I'll do
Oh baby, if I ever hear you say we're through, wow!
