Not in Chicago. And I'm not talking about a little drizzly rain. This is a full-up thunderstorm with driving winds.

Temps are supposed to get up over 50 today. That just ain't right.

Beats the hell out of snow, though.

1. At least we don't have to shovel this....
The skies opened up just as I was getting out of the car in the parking lot. Yes, I had an umbrella and the wonderful building engineer was playing doorman this morning as he often does on bad weather days.

3. Yep. Needing an umbrella is better than needing a shovel.
That was a really loud thunderclap just now. I might have to jump offline.

2. Sounds like Sacramento last week
We're used to winter storms, but seldom that fierce.

Please give my regards to Mr. Rumpole.

He hasn't been on the board lately except some excursions down in that fun zone where I never venture. :hi:

5. Raining in Northern PA too
Normally I prefer rain to snow but this storm started as snow, changed to sleet and now it's raining. That makes shoveling really hard. It's about 6" of heavy wet snow with 1" of ice on top. Plus dealing with the rain while shoveling. UGH!
