Embarrassing situation: My mom thinks i'm sleeping around. |
|
I washed a load of my mother's laundry in my washing machine, because her machine hasn't been working right. When i brought the finished laundry back to her, she found a womans shirt that wasn't hers. She showed the shirt to me and asked if it belonged to my Ex.... It definitely didn't (not her style.) Mom just gave me a strange thoughtful look.
I honestly don't know how that shirt got in the laundry! My mother must think i'm sleeping around with a bunch of women. I only wish. ;) Still, it is embarrassing.

1. You should have told her they were yours. |

After hearing that, I'm sure the thought of you sleeping around would be a relief.:)
On edit: Oh shit, is this the type of thread that the mods are likely to delete?

17. Well, I have him on Sundays, |
|
Tuesdays, and Thursdays, so you can have him on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! That is, if he doesn't have other gals spread out over the rest of the week also!

6. I used to get that all the time.... |
|
I always get sores on the inside of my mouth from eating things like Oranges, tomatoes, etc. One time I had a really bad sore that just wasn't going away, and she asked me if it was herpes.
Mom, you give me way to much credit.

|
his mother knew it 'cause he had grass stains in such a pattern on his clothes that she knew, with that way moms must have of knowing certain stuff.
She just kind of winked at him, I understand.

How in the holy fuck would she have known through grass stain patterns?????? As the mother of an almost-14-year-old son, I'd really like to know!

Um, I think it had to do with the place the grass stains were on his pants, and, well, maybe the pattern?
Maybe the grin on his face?
I just thought this was a funny-but-true story!

|
when I lived in a large apartment building. I brought up several large loads of laundry to fold and put away, found some panties and figured they were my girlfriend's. nope. next time she came over, she was a little suprised to find strange panties in her clothing stash. that could have been very akward...

19. At least it wasn't what happened to me... |
|
I was dating who would later become my wife, who was a flight attendant who was in town for a few days, out of town for a few days, like that. I was totally smitten with her and would no way sleep around on her. I was living in an apartment in a high rise...had been there less than 9 months. One day, she comes home from a trip, and finds a tube of lipstick that had fallen behind the sink thingy in the bathroom!
"is this your shade?" she asked suspiciously.
Man, I felt horrible, because I KNEW there'd been no one there...so it must have been the previous resident, or from a halloween party we'd had 2 months before where several people came over. I tried to explain, but no matter what I said, she had this look like "yeah, right."
Eventually, she glossed over it. But there was no way in heck I could PROVE I had not had a woman over. Talk about scary situation.

23. Had something similar happen with my father.... |
|
I had broken up with my boyfriend, and had gone off the pill. But, being a responsible twenty-something, I bought some condoms and stored them in a tin on the window sill beside my futon.
You know, just in case. :eyes:
At any rate a few weeks later my dad comes with some blinds and offers to put them up for me while my mom and I visited in the kitchen.
About 20 minutes later he comes into the kitchen and hands me the leftover hardware saying:
"You know what you should do? Put these babies in a little box and keep it handy, so whenever you need a good screw, they'll be there."
I nearly died on the spot and turned beet red.
My mother looks at me, then tells my dad:
"Dave, I think you've embarassed our daughter."
If she only knew.

24. A shirt once showed up in my mother's laundry that no one claimed. |
|
It was a plaid maternity shirt.
I do not wear plaid shirts. It was clearly not mine. (It was also not my size.) She asked each of my sisters and my sister-in-law about the shirt. It didn't belong to any of them.
My mother herself hasn't been in need of maternity clothes since 1971.
So where did the shirt come from? We never solved that mystery. Maybe you'll never solve yours either.
