Just speaking for myself here.
They push 'real' threads off the front page faster... who needs those serious Lounge threads on the first page? Stupid serious thread!
They make you think (at least at first) you are reading a real thread, and you try to understand what the thread is about and respond, then you realize it's just a copycat thread. Funny huh?
You laugh and laugh and laugh trying to distinguish the real threads from the copycat threads
Just sayin'.

I didn't say anything about "serious" threads being in the Lounge.
Oh, I don't want copycat threads banned.
I do think original humor is better than a weak parody, however.
