8. Floors? I actually have floors?
You couldn't tell at my house. Of course, over 50% of our house is under (re)construction right now, so I do have an excuse.

10. reminds me of an Elaine Boosler line
Her mother is complaing about Elaine's messy house. Tells her at her home you could eat off the floors. Elaine tells her you can eat off her floor too.. there are tons of things down there.

12. Messy but never dirty
Tons of paper all over, along with books C.D.s &c. My desk is aprticualrly good with bank statements a few months old vying with unused Christmas cards, a couple of wedding invitations, writing paper, random computer print-outs, a couple of videos and a pair of hand-warmers.

The funny thing is that I know exactly where everything is, if I tidy then I loose everything instantly.

I can't stand clothes on the floor, once worn they get sorted into colours immediately in neat piles waiting to be washed.

17. It depends if I'm dating someone
If I just started dating someone, or am in the process of pursuing someone, I keep things pretty nice. I'll slack off if I've been seeing someone for a while but I still keep things somewhat organized. My bathroom is always clean. Right now my place is very messy because I'm not seeing anyone and I don't give a damn.

18. Martha doesn't live here.
Neither do those "extreme make-over" people.

I have 10 bicycles parked in my living room. I couldn't get to my TV if Kate Winslet and Delta Burke were going to mud-wrestle....

22. I'd say pretty tidy. If I didn't have a toddler
it would probably be very tidy. He makes most of the messes around here, but I can tolerate it. It's not excessively messy. Most of the mess consists of his toys that he scatters around the house. It's rather pointless to pick them up, because they always wind up all over the house again. I usually only pick them up if people are coming over. Also, if he gets hold of a writing utensil he'll write all over the walls, desks, and whatever else. I've trained myself to always keep pens out of his reach, because I can't remove the ink. The pencils I can clean, even though it's a bitch. I still keep those out of his reach too. I usually only let him write with washable crayons.
