Fro me, it's the Andrea True Connection: "More, More, More"

And yes, I KNOW she was a porn star, but I love the song.

I own a copy of a Status Quo album and I love the track "Caroline". 3-chord boogie at it's best. "If you want to, turn me onto, anything you really want to..." oh bugger it, I'm going to stick the CD into the 'puter and dance around the study...benefit of living alone....

12. "Waiting For A Star To Fall" by Boy Meets Girl c.1988
And it's more due to the nostalgia than anything about the song. When I was young, whenever my mother drove me around places, she would always have it tuned in to the light-rock, easy-listening station. That song would play frequently on the radio when it first came out, and I just have good memories of the time, I guess.

39. You're not alone...
...I'm old enough to remember Jefferson Airplane vividly...and I still like this cheesy Jefferson Starship (later just Starship) song.

It's a visceral vs. an intellectual thing. Some music I like because it's musically fantastic...some because I'm a sucker for a good musical 'hook' -- like most folks.

Bonus points if anyone (besides me) remembers who sang this:

Hey, Deanie, won't you come out tonight
The stars are dancin' like diamonds in the moonlight
And we could never find a better time to be in love

Hey, Deanie, won't you come out tonight
The summer's waitin', the moon is shinin' so bright
Hey, Deanie, you're the one I'm dreamin' of...

64. I'm not surprised that Eric Carmen *wrote* it, but
the popular, hit version was recorded by Shaun Cassidy. His recording hit the Billboard charts in late 1977 and topped out at #7. It was never a Billboard chart hit as recorded by Eric Carmen.

Eric Carmen wrote a lot of songs made famous by other people.

(BTW - I didn't "forget" any of the lyrics; I didn't reprint the lyrics in their entirety.)

had become "uncool" (I was a follow-the-crowd teenager) so I hid the album from my friends. My sister and I secretly made up a dance to the song "My Boogie Shoes".

86. Worse! My SO actually loves one of the Abba COVER BANDS
he plays this tape he has of a "Bjorn Again" concert. This is Mr. Music Snob, I only like Joe Strummer, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello, and he watches the damned thing over and over.

At least you like the real ABBA...

70. Yeah, but David Naughton was awesome in "American Werewolf in London."
Whoever was his agent was brilliant and incredibly dense all at the same time.

81. That's one of my favorite Kansas songs.
And I'm not at all embarassed about it!

It is a sad song, though. It makes me want to sleep all day...

I love them crunchy guitars. In fact, I love everything Chinn-Chapman ever did.

83. "In My House" from the Mary Jane Girls
I thought it was literally "my house" but I had to be told it was the euphamism "my house" as in "sugar walls" or "celestial orifice". :dunce:

90. I got caught singing that under my breath once at work.
The person who caught me knew that it was "suggestive," too!
