To be truthful, I have the middle view on copycat threads
- I don't mind em
- Too much is yes annoying
I think both sides to the arguement have valid points.

3. Ironically, the copycat blitz happens when someone blasts the practice
Usually otherwise it's just dribs and drabs. It's true that they push off "important" things, but so do pic threads, cat threads, and other "less important" threads. If we were to run DU so that only the important threads got the most posts and stayed afloat, there would have to be a crazy amount of enforcement because usually the opposite is the case. It's not the fault of the mindless threads, it's the fault of the DUers who create and reply to them in droves. We just need to control all DUers.

Really i have the middle ground view on this, I see why peopel dont like them in excess but they shouldnt be banned.

I agree with what you're saying, but I always keep in mind that a) I'm not a mod, so I can't speak to the hassle; b) It's not my board, I just play on it. Skinner and the rest have every right to run it like they want.
