Did the same in July to my fascist geek former boss. I was hoping for along time off, but nooooo... a week later I was employed on contract elsewhere and making a lot more money. Sigh... rotten luck.

11. My funnest 2-weeks notice

When I told my boss I was quitting to work for the nonprofit I had been volunteering at for years, he said 'surely you won't be getting paid as much', and it felt soooo goood to say, 'actually, I am getting paid more there! And the benifits are better' - not that I get paid a whole lot now, but it sure got the point across that he was underpaying his employees.
