1. tried it once on the office cat
couldn't get the copier lid closed and the cat made loads of screechy noises so I gave up.

2. Yes, actually.
When I had a home office I had a small photocopier. When one of my cats sat on it with the cover open, I couldn't resist, and I hit the Copy button. The cat just sat there, and I ended up with a nice copy of his underside -- paws, asshole and all.
