10. "Sweet Georgia Brown" was the entrance music for my college's
basketball teams back in the 60's!!! I don't know if they still play it or not but it was pretty neat back in the day.

See, we had some hot shot players who could do Globetrotter tricks and the band director got the idea to play that song because the real Globetrotters used it.

It caught on quickly with the fans and from then on it was played at every home game when the team came out of the dressing rooms, and at half time. It was almost an alternate fight song!!!

Oh yeah, it must have worked: Kentucky Wesleyan has 8 Division II championship trophies in basketball, and I don't know how many Regional trophies.
