11. I crock-potted a huge roast and potatoes and carrots for dinner tonight.

My kid ate damned near half of the thing. He's glad to have his mom back cooking again!

I love to cook--not being able to find time to cook and garden over the past year has been sad for me. I am soooo glad to be free--to have the time to do the things I love to do again.

I swear, I can FINALLY hit the UPS store! ^#&#&@ had to work to make up lost snow hours last Saturday.

Also, I won't be able to tape any ARS, because all of mine is on vinyl, and my only tape deck is on my CD boombox. :-(

But DAMMIT, I WILL get to the UPS place this Saturday, NOW that I finally have a free weekend, and the holidays are over! :hug:

was back once a year later... have been told I wouldn't recognize much. Northern Virginia cities that were considered to quite a distance out - are now, apparently, close suburbs.

On another note - just found I have to travel to my last metropolis home (before returning to hoosierland) this weekend for work. The timing is awful - and the travel (due to time away from work) is stressful... but this evening - when I finally had a moment to contemplate the question of whether a car is rented or not... I realized how glad I am that I will have a few days in the Bay Area (even though I will have little spare time.) :D
