I didn't even know it was possible, but someone told me today about someone putting Dran-O or something down their toilet and 5 seconds later, it exploded. My SO came perilously close to doing this today, but was talked out of it by an expert. Thank god she didn't. Most days are tough enough without exploding toilets. They never taught me this shit in school!

5. Don't believe everything you hear.

Whether iron or PVC pipes are used in a home, the amount of heat generated from the chemical reaction, or the gasses escaping, would not be able to cause an explosion of the toilet. I have done the M80 down the toilet trick, and water shot out like a geyser, but the pot and pipes were all undamaged. Use less paper, and buy a plumbing snake. Or use a tree.
