A funny story about a waitress Monday Night.
Well, maybe not that funny, but mildly entertaining. A friend of mine and I went to Hops and had a couple of beers. So we sit down and before they take our order, they always give these little rolls. There were only two of us and the waitress gave us a plate with six rolls. So, he and I ate them and he noticed that it was weird that she gave us six of those rolls. But as we ordered our beers and she brought us another plate with 6 rolls. My friend thought it was weird so I said to him "maybe she thinks you're cute." He said "maybe she thinks you're cute." I said that I doubt it. But my friend thought that she was looking at me a lot as she served us and how she asked me specifically for another beer looking at me. This is what he thought. I said, that maybe she just wanted a better tip. Hey, I'm cynical.

2. any experience waiter/waitress can tell you about eye contact.
it's an important skill for getting a good tip. you have to size up the table and figure out who to make eye contact with and/or lavish attention on OR who to NOT make eye contact with and/or lavish attention on.

then again, maybe she DID think you're cute
the two aren't mutually exclusive, you know!

3. Those were rolls she gave to other customers, earlier
The restaurant was trying to get rid of the old rolls, which had caught the eyebrow hairs and spittle of previous customers.

I hope you didn't eat them!

4. No. These were fresh baked.
These were not "used".
