2. Why is this just news today? |
|
I've been seeing the "Walmart is great for America" commercials for at least a year.
BTW, I just checked out FR on this story and they almost all seem to agree that if you can't live on $8.00/hr with no benefits you should simply find a higher paying job. Obviously not so easy when you live in a small town and the local WalMart is the only place hiring because they put everyone else out of business.

Someone was sick, and his employer sent him to the Mayo Clinic - the best care available. THAT'S how much his employer cares about it's employees.
And when he said Wal-Mart, I was like WTF??? :wtf: all I could think of was that the vast majority of their employees get NOTHING in benefits, and they should be really ashamed of themselves for portraying any differently. Lousy f-ing liars!

8. I saw that on the news this morning and had to snicker |
|
I worked at Wal-Mart for a little while. The pay sucks, the benefits really suck. The hounded us all the time about the evils of unions. I hate that store and will not shop there. I agree, if they want to change their image, they need to change the policies which earned them the bad image. I'd rather watch Bill O'Reilly than go to Wal-Mart.

9. "PR blitz to improve image" = EVIL EVIL EVIL company. ALWAYS. |
|
Seriously, if I read somewhere that "Jxekchwbsebc Inc. does PR blitz to improve image," that's all I need to know. I don't even have to know what Jxekchwbsebc Inc. DOES.
